Haydar Aliyev International Airport is located 25 km northeast of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and is one of the seven international airports serving Azerbaijan. Initially known as Bina International Airport, it was renamed on March 10, 2004, after Haydar Aliyev, the former president of Azerbaijan.
