Jazeera Airways Flights

About

Jazeera Airways was founded in 2004 in Kuwait and has quickly become one of the leading airlines in the region. Operating from Kuwait International Airport, the airline serves over 60 destinations across the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe. With a fleet of 24 Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft, Jazeera Airways became the first airline in the Middle East to introduce the A320neo to its fleet in 2018.

As Kuwait’s largest private airline, Jazeera Airways offers affordable travel services with flexible fare options such as "Light," "Value," and "Extra." While Economy Class passengers can purchase food and beverages onboard, Business Class travelers are offered complimentary hot meals and drinks. Additionally, passengers can book and manage their flights conveniently through the Jazeera Airways mobile app.

Check-in

Jazeera Airways offers passengers multiple check-in options to ensure a smooth and convenient experience. Online check-in is available from 24 hours up to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time. This service allows travelers to select their seats and obtain boarding passes in advance, reducing waiting times at the airport. However, passengers requiring special assistance, expectant mothers, and unaccompanied minors are advised to check in directly at the airport.

For those preferring to check in at the airport, Jazeera Airways provides dedicated counters. At Kuwait International Airport, check-in counters open 6 hours prior to departure, while at other airports, they open 3 hours before the flight. All check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure, except at Istanbul, Egypt, and Dubai airports, where they close 1 hour prior to departure. Additionally, at Kuwait's Terminal 5, passengers can utilize self-check-in kiosks for a quicker process. For added convenience, the airline offers an Early Check-In service at Park & Fly near Kuwait International Airport, allowing passengers to check in their bags and receive boarding passes 36 to 6 hours before their flight for a fee of 3 KD per person.

Baggage Allowance

Hand Luggage

Jazeera Airways allows Economy Class passengers to carry one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 7 kg, with dimensions not exceeding 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. Business Class passengers are permitted two pieces of hand luggage with a combined weight of up to 15 kg, adhering to the same size restrictions. All carry-on items must be declared at check-in counters and tagged appropriately. While infants do not have a separate carry-on allowance, passengers traveling with infants may bring an additional hand baggage item weighing up to 10 kg.

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage allowances vary based on the fare type and travel route. In Economy Class, the "Light" fare includes no checked baggage, the "Value" fare allows for 20 kg (one piece), and the "Extra" fare permits 30 kg (up to two pieces). Business Class passengers are entitled to 60 kg of checked baggage across a maximum of three pieces. Each individual bag must not exceed 32 kg in weight and 158 cm in total dimensions (length + width + height). It's important to note that infants do not have a separate checked baggage allowance.

Special Luggage

For items such as sports equipment or musical instruments, Jazeera Airways may have specific policies and potential additional charges. Passengers are advised to contact the airline directly to obtain detailed information regarding the transportation of special luggage, including any applicable fees and packaging requirements. Ensuring compliance with the airline's guidelines will help facilitate the smooth handling of such items during travel.

Seat Selection

Jazeera Airways allows passengers to select their seats before or after booking. Seat selection can be done during ticket reservation or through the "Manage Booking" and online check-in options. The airline offers different seating choices to match passengers' needs and budgets. If no selection is made in advance, a seat is automatically assigned during check-in. Seat selection fees vary and are displayed at the time of booking.

The seating options include premium seats (rows 1-3), preferred seats (rows 4-10), extra legroom seats (rows 11-12), and standard seats (rows 13-28/29). Premium seats offer more comfort with a 33-inch seat pitch, while extra legroom seats provide 35-38 inches of space. Due to safety regulations, extra legroom seats are not available for passengers under 18, elderly travelers, or those with mobility restrictions. Additionally, Jazeera Airways offers a Duo Seat service, allowing passengers to reserve the seat next to them for extra space and privacy.

Loyalty Program

Jazeera Airways introduced Jazeera Savers, a subscription-based membership program designed to offer frequent flyers exclusive discounts and benefits. Launched in December 2023, this initiative made Jazeera Airways the first Middle Eastern airline to implement such a program. Members enjoy a 10% discount on base fares, complimentary preferred seat selection, free early check-in and baggage drop, access to an exclusive check-in desk in Kuwait, 50% off on 10 kg extra baggage rates, and 20% off pre-flight online purchases from the Onboard Shop and J Café (excluding Duty-Free items).

The program offers four membership tiers:

  • Single: For individual travelers, priced at KD 35 annually.
  • Duo: For two people traveling together, at KD 55 per year.
  • Family: Covers up to five family members for KD 99 annually.
  • Family Plus: Designed for larger families or groups of up to eight members, available for KD 129 per year.

These introductory rates provide significant savings. For example, a couple traveling to Dubai during peak season could save nearly 36% on travel expenses with a Duo membership. Enrollment is available online through the Jazeera Airways website.

Food & Beverage

Jazeera Airways offers passengers a variety of food and beverage options. Economy Class passengers can pre-order meals from the J Café menu at least 24 hours before their flight via the airline’s official website. The menu includes fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps, and hot meals, catering to different tastes. These pre-ordered meals are served during the flight. However, it's important to note that this service is not available on flights to Cairo.

Business Class passengers can enjoy a selection of food and beverages at airport lounges before boarding. Additionally, they receive complimentary hot meals and drinks during the flight. Jazeera Airways aims to enhance passenger comfort and satisfaction by providing a wide range of food and beverage options both before and during the journey.

In-Flight Entertainment

Jazeera Airways offers passengers a free wireless entertainment service called Jazeera Screens. This system allows travelers to access various content on their personal devices. By connecting their smartphone or tablet to the in-flight wireless network, passengers can watch movies, TV shows, play games, and track their flight route. The service is compatible with iOS and Android devices, and downloading the Jazeera Screens app before the flight is recommended.

In 2024, Jazeera Airways renewed its partnership with Bluebox Aviation Systems to further develop and expand the Jazeera Screens service across its fleet. As part of this upgrade, the user interface was improved, and the system was integrated into the airline’s mobile app. This enhancement provides passengers with a richer and more seamless entertainment experience directly on their personal devices.

Pet Policy

Jazeera Airways allows passengers to travel with pets under specific conditions. Small pets such as cats and dogs, as well as trained service dogs, are permitted in the cabin. Additionally, the airline allows the transport of falcons, a common practice in the Middle East. Each passenger can carry up to five falcons, with one on their arm and the rest placed on empty seats, with a maximum of two per seat. All animals must be clean, healthy, non-disruptive, and odor-free to ensure a comfortable flight experience for all passengers. Pregnant animals are not allowed for transport, and all necessary documentation, including health and vaccination certificates, must be provided before travel.

To ensure smooth travel, passengers must book pet transport in advance by contacting Jazeera Airways' customer service. The airline has specific size and weight restrictions for pet carriers, and additional fees may apply depending on the route and type of pet. Carriers must be well-ventilated and secure, allowing pets to move comfortably. For international flights, passengers should check the destination country’s pet import regulations to avoid any issues upon arrival. Since pet policies can vary, it is strongly recommended to confirm all details before booking.

Lounge Usage

Jazeera Airways offers passengers a comfortable waiting experience at Pearl Lounge, located in Terminal 5 of Kuwait International Airport. This lounge is complimentary for Business Class passengers, while Economy Class passengers can access it for a fee. Open 24 hours a day, the lounge provides a relaxing environment for passengers to rest or work before their flight. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a buffet with hot and cold meals, comfortable seating areas, charging stations, and live flight information displays. Additionally, there is a designated smoking area for passengers who require it.

Economy Class passengers can pre-book access to Pearl Lounge or pay at the entrance based on availability. The daily entry fee is 12 KWD for adults and 6 KWD for children aged 2-12, while children under 2 can enter for free. The lounge is conveniently located in Terminal 5, just after security control and near the departure gates, allowing passengers to make the most of their time before boarding.
